About me

My name is Mirabelle Turner

I am an astrologer of five years. My approach draws from the Hellenistic astrological tradition and incorporates modern techniques. I have found astrology to be a powerful tool to understand myself, others, and the world around us, as it helps us step out of ourselves and gain an objective perspective of reality. Astrology's ability to time events has been particularly meaningful for me as a way to ground expectations about the future. I hope to share astrology's insights with you.

Mirabelle Turner is the name I used to practice astrology, inspired by the plums that grew on the fruit tree in the garden outside my childhood home in the UK. I now live in Asia, and am fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese. Studying Chinese was my first love, followed a decade later by astrology.

I have a bachelor's degree from the University of Cambridge and a master's degree from Peking University. Before starting my astrology practice, I spent eight years working in business intelligence with a focus on macroeconomic analysis of Asian markets.

I am currently studying under Austin Coppock as part of his three-year Fundamentals of Astrology programme. The works of Demetra George, Chris Brennan, and Leisa Schaim have strongly influenced me. Aside from natal astrology, I am also interested in electional and horary astrology, and applying these techniques to macroeconomic forecasting. Currently, I am also studying the theory of traditional Chinese medicine and The Four Pillars of Destiny (bazi), a form of Chinese astrology, on which I hope to conduct comparative research with Western astrology in the future.
